    Who are you as an organization?

    Super Scientist Award Winning, super fun, LIVE science, coding, robotics & experiments for elementary students Grade 1-8. Join our crazy fun STEM immersive day camps and classes. Come and explore the world through the eyes of scientists and engineers.

    What do you do differently or uniquely well?

    "Super Scientist staff are STEM professionals/students and have a life-long enthusiasm for STEM in all its forms. Each has experience teaching, volunteering, mentoring, and supporting youth in our community.

    Our unique perspective on the real-world implications and interactions of the science we teach helps us foster a super fun, super curious, enthusiastic safe learning environment for our students. All questions are answered, and curiosity is welcomed. Students will learn to seek (and identify) truth, qualify information sources, build tenacity and persistence, embrace complex problem solving, gain confidence in their abilities and validate their opinions."

    Who are your staff and counsellors?

    "Our staff and counsellors are all enthusiastic promotors of early childhood learning for STEM subjects. Our policy is ratio of 1:6 for Grade 1-3, 1:10 for Grade 4-8. We are an avid equal opportunity employer. All our staff require diversity, equality and Super Scientist Method Training to ensure a safe, welcoming and curious learning environment.

    We have a diverse group of tutors from various science and engineering backgrounds. Senior Camp counsellors are required to have leadership and child management experience, Camp Counsellors are junior but have demonstrated leadership capabilities within our previous camps and courses. All our team require demonstrated experience and interest in STEM."

    What do families need to know about registration?

    "Registration is super easy.
    Register directly on the webpage - you will find the link to register or to get more info if you want to contact us first. We are always happy to talk to our you. Drop us an email, chat or call.
    At registration you will complete the waiver and medical form so you are good to go.
    All the weeks are varied, we make a huge effort to ensure that students do not repeat the same curriculum twice so you can visit us as often as you like and see new science every time!
    Early Bird registration opens January 1 until May 1 2023. Receive a 20% reduction "

    STEM is a good foundation for almost any kid going into any career. It is important that kids learn this outside of school as well. At Super Scientist, they teach the life skills that help kids with facilitating their STEM skills, but also in their daily life. Everything they do is hands-on and there are many unexpected surprises that keep kids engaged and wanting more. Kids are encouraged to find solutions to the problems presented, and while they are supported, kids take the lead role. Super Scientist makes it clear that there are no wrong ways to do things—everything the kids do has an end product of learning. If the answer doesn’t provide a clear solution, the kids figure out what to do next. What’s unique about this program is that the instructors are very kind and patient, so that kids can keep taking those risks without worrying about falling behind. They are always moving forward.

    My kids love your program and most importantly they love you! They said you are sooo kind and soooo patient. And every now and then I hear them ask “why?” ...oohhh that is music to my ear..except I don’t have your patience and knowledge to answer those science questions.  So thank you thank you for creating this program and having the supplies ready in the box.  Please tell me you have the next 8/10 sessions ready for sign up?     Super Scientist was great fun and I got to do the experiments with my friends. My favourite was the egg drop contest. I like the Lego robotics program too, it was hard but we had lots of fun

    Offers children's birthday party packages:
    Try out our science extravaganza for up to 10 kids. Full kits and equipment are delivered. Spend 1 to 1.5 Hrs completing 2-3 experiments. Select from our menu to decide the topic of your day. From Oct 2021, can be in-person or virtual.

    Director's Message

    Louise McPherson, Founder

    For the last 13 years our Team have been delivering large scale engineering challenges to schools in TDSB, HDSB, PDSB, engaging elementary students in the Critical Design Process from early childhood. Research has shown that by age 13, 40 % of students have lost interest in Science and Technology and by age 15, 70% of girls have opted out. The reason is believed to be the subjects are “too difficult”.

    Our objective is to ensure Every Child in Every School receives a high level of engagement with hands on science and technology at early elementary age. Through this exposure we hope to increase confidence, encourage and demonstrate to students that these subjects are for everyone. The life skills learned breaking down complex problems, analyzing data, seeking solutions & testing not to mention material selection, project planning & delivery remain with us forever and never diminish in importance.

    Employers recognize the most important skills for employees of the future to be critical thinking, problem solving and adaptability. As parents of future leaders we all want to equip our students with the capabilities they need to be happy and successful. 

    Super Scientist have already worked with over 10000 students and it grows every year. 

    Whether a class, camp your family best we are ready to welcome your child and open their eyes to the fun, engaging and exciting world that is STEM whilst allowing them to practice their most important life-skills.

    • Second Year in a row Super Scientist Teams shine at FIRST LEGO Qualifiers

      Congratulations to both our FIRST LEGO Teams, we are so excited for them. 

      Our brand new Oakville team, triumphed in the LEGO robot game, scoring our highest point total in history. Although they did not progress to the Regionals they conducted themselves with poise and will definitely be serious contenders next year. 

      The Clarkson Team, for the second year running progressed directly to the Provincials at Durham in Jan. This time the won overall 2nd Place, the Award for best project combining Art and Technology and the impromptu rap contest! We wish them the best of luck going forward and can't wait to see what they can achieve!
