The camp atmosphere is brilliant, the dorm-style overnight stay throughout the week is a lot of fun, and the activities put on at night after hockey are always good. I developed my hockey skills, but also team building, through the activities we did during the camp. It is very good for elite hockey players looking for summer exposure to new development.
(4.5) Program quality and activities
The most enjoyable activity for me was the power skating we did every morning. We did a lot of strength work in the gym, which was a lot of fun but also helped push me to be a better player. The team games off the ice, in the evenings, were a lot of fun, too, such as indoor soccer.
(4.5) Social dynamics and experience
Everyone has a really fun roommate that you get to know over the week, and make new friends throughout the camp. A memorable bonding experience was the time with one of the camp leaders, Hayden, who always made the activities fun and competitive. Every night, the group would get together and watch a movie or TV, after hockey, to rest.
(5) Staff/Instructors/Counsellors
They were all very helpful and experienced, which made the camp very enjoyable and worthwhile. They all have had professional experience and help push you to be better. On the ice, they are very knowledgeable, and off the ice, they're amazing people who help you develop.
(5) Advice and tips
Enjoy every day of the camp, get involved with all the activities, and be happy to meet new people. Everyone there wants to get better, so don't be afraid to push each other, but also have fun. The summer is a brilliant time to get better and make new friends.
