SLI The Sidney Ledson School’s Summer Camp offers two camps: The multi-activity camp is a structured, engaging experience blending academic enrichment with themed, hands-on learning for ages 3–12. Mornings focus on Math and English to reinforce or accelerate skills in small groups. Afternoons include weekly themed workshops in STEM, art, science, design, entrepreneurship, etc with inquiry-based activities that build essential skills in critical thinking, innovation, team work and presentation. The Admission Exam Prep Camp offers limited spots to prepare students for SSAT and admission exams seeking entry for Grade 7 to schools such as UTS, UCC, and US schools. We offer a unique camp experience as we provide the best of both an academic and a weekly themed program. The academic program gives campers a chance to reinforce or advance in curriculum expectations at their grade level. The weekly themed activities give campers an opportunity to explore through research, experimentation, and hands-on projects in different subjects such as science, architecture, engineering, design, technology, art, etc. Weekly themes are planned to build skills in research, innovation, collaboration, teamwork, and presentations. Students also enjoy daily structured physical activities as well as free play. Afternoons promise nature appreciation, as campers hike along the natural trails of Betty Sutherland Trail Park.

We begin accepting applications in mid-January and spots are limited, as class sizes from Kinder Camp to Senior Camp are capped at 12 students. Our high-demand Preschool Camp accepts eligible preschoolers and is capped at 5 campers. Parents can take advantage of several discounts, including a 10% early registration discount by April 1. Applications are submitted through our website, and questions can be emailed; we typically respond within 24 hours. A $100 deposit secures a spot and is fully refunded if no availability exists. Upon acceptance, camp fees are due within 48 hours to guarantee the requested class and week.

Campers have the unique opportunity to work under the guidance and expertise of our SLI teachers and director, who are instrumental in upholding the strong tradition of excellence in both the academic and extracurricular programs during the school year. SLI’s policy is to ensure that the camp experience reflects the enriched curriculum we provide throughout the year. Campers benefit from working with our dedicated and qualified teachers who, in addition to having a strong background in teaching, are experienced in supporting campers seeking differentiated learning within an advanced and intellectually stimulating program.
