Level: Beginner
In this week-long camp, students from RCM levels 2-4 are invited to dive deep into the wonderful world of piano! Based on the RCM curriculum, students will have the opportunity to explore fun and exciting syllabus pieces, review and expand their technical requirements, and connect theory with ear training. Time will be allocated to achieving a personal piece goal (within or outside of the RCM syllabus) to perform at the end of our camp. Students will participate in ensemble playing, independent learning, arts and craft, as well as masterclass style performances.
Pre-requisites: Students should be able to play at RCM Level 2 at minimum, and be able to read music fluently and play hands together. This camp is appropriate to players between RCM Level 2 and 5. If you're not sure of your playing level, please talk to your teacher or consult our Celebration Series, Sixth Edition: Piano Sampler to see excerpts of piano pieces for Levels 2, 3, 4, and 5.
Camp Early Care (8:00 am) and Extended Care (4:00-6:00 pm) available at an additional cost. Registered families will be contacted in early March with links to register for either or both options.
