Learn a variety of crochet stitches and make sample squares so that you remember how each stitch looks. Once you have gained some experience with plenty of step-by-step help from crochet accessories designer Jessica Papp, you’ll be ready to crochet a blanket! Enjoy this 5-session class, make friends and learn a new skill that will open doors to plenty of other fun projects. Yarn for swatches will be provided by NPCC but participants are to bring the yarn they would like to use for this main blanket project (4′ x 4′). Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Interpersonal skills: Through shared creative experiences, students learn to express their ideas, listen to others, and provide constructive feedback. Collaborative projects promote teamwork, encouraging students to work together. 
  • Creativity: As an arts organization, NPCC provides a space where creative curiosity is encouraged and participants get to experience the benefits of trying new ideas and techniques in the artwork they create.
