Learn how to knit your own beanie hat on a loom in this beginner friendly workshop! Participants get to make a stylish beanie and learn great knitting skills with Jessica Papp, a popular Toronto knit designer. Learn to use a loom and needle hook, choose from a variety of yarn colours and materials to make your design, and learn how to cast off and properly finish your project. Students will leave with their own hat, and will have extra materials to create additional hats! For a materials list, please check our website.


Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Creativity: As an arts organization, NPCC provides a space where creative curiosity is encouraged, and participants get to experience the benefits of trying new ideas and techniques in the artwork they create.
  • Interpersonal skills: Through shared creative experiences, students learn to express their ideas, listen to others, and provide constructive feedback. Collaborative projects promote teamwork, encouraging students to work together.
