This class is about learning to draw in a number of different styles. From realism to abstraction, participants are exposed to a different significant artist each week through a presentation and an inspiring reference subject. After samples of drawing style are practiced, students and are encouraged to apply the approach and create a composition in that style. Children will have fun exploring Picasso, Pacita Abad, Ch’ng Kiah Kian, Leonardo da Vinci, E.H. Shepard, Manabu Ikeda, Ian Murphy, Il Lee, Rembrandt, Jean-Louis Sauvat, and more! Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

Creativity: As an arts organization, NPCC provides a space where creative curiosity is encouraged, and participants get to experience the benefits of trying new ideas and techniques in the artwork they create.
Interpersonal skills: Through shared creative experiences, students learn to express their ideas, listen to others, and provide constructive feedback. Collaborative projects promote teamwork, encouraging students to work together.
