Fashion illustration is different from traditional figure drawing. NIma Arabi, MFA has considerable experience in this area and will guide aspiring fashionistas in the process of producing a croquis, (template used to illustrate designs) and drawing clothing based on creative vision. Students will draw from a clothed reference and will also be encouraged to develop their own design and illustrations both in pencil and then in colour. Technical illustration for pattern making will not be touched upon in this class. All materials are included.

Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

Creativity: As an arts organization, NPCC provides a space where creative curiosity is encouraged and participants get to experience the benefits of trying new ideas and techniques in the artwork they create.
Interpersonal skills: Through shared creative experiences, students learn to express their ideas, listen to others, and provide constructive feedback. Collaborative projects promote teamwork, encouraging students to work together and have fun!
