The Our Kids review of National Kids Camps

    our take

National Kids Camps is renowned for its broad variety of programs, designed to provide fun, adventure, and learning. They pride themselves on their professional, enthusiastic, and safety-conscious staff. Directors, Geoff and Leeorah Pearce, emphasize the importance of providing a safe, dynamic, and enjoyable camp experience, where campers can be themselves, make new friends, and discover new things. The camps' extensive range of programs cover leadership training, STEM, education, sports, empowerment, mindfulness training, swimming, wilderness skills, mountain biking, waterskiing, wakeboarding, and adventure. Each program is carefully designed to foster personal growth, teamwork, and a sense of accomplishment. Outbound Summer Camp at Camp Fortune Ski Hill is a particularly attractive choice, featuring activities like ziplining, aerial park challenges, and visits to local attractions. Similarly, there is the Amazing Race Summer Camp, with its global-themed challenges; and the Decathlon Sports Camp, which offers a wide range of sports and games alongside educational objectives aligned with Olympic values. The Go Girl Summer Camp, exclusively for girls, focuses on empowerment and mindfulness, featuring activities like yoga, self-portrait creation, vision boards, gratitude journaling, and more. National Kids Camps stands out in offering rich and varied camping experiences that combine fun, adventure, and learning, all within a supportive and nurturing environment.

    Tennis Camp Review

Our boys have been going to the National Tennis School camps since my oldest was five years old. For the past six years, they have thoroughly enjoyed their time there and each year they would like to go the next year for additional weeks. The instructors are fantastic as they help out my kids with providing instructions on how to improve their tennis play and it has showed over the years as now my oldest has qualified for the Advanced programs at Tennis Centre West Ottawa. My youngest also enjoys it as he makes new friends each year and loves taking part in the swimming portions during the early stages of the week. The tournaments at the end of the week are friendly competitions which allow for them to test their skills and see how well they have done compared to others. Overall, a great experience year in and year out. They cannot wait to take part in the camps in 2025 ... Show More

    Mountain Bike Kids Camp Review

My child has been going to the Mountain Bike Camp every summer since he was 8, which is 5 years now. It is the only camp that he will do. The staff are super great and very inclusive. I would highly recommend this camp to any child that is looking for an adventure and great time ... Show More

Legendary Waves and Wheels, Serve and Splash Summer Camp and National Tennis School Reviews

I have nothing but good things to say about a variety of the camps that this organization offers. I have twins who are currently 13 yrs old and who to this day still attend there Waves and Wheels camp. Despite my kids being teenagers and almost at the age were they are out growing camp life they still say that this camp is amazing. They come home excited for the next day to go fishing, biking, tubing and wakeboarding. Not only have my kids managed to be happy, but their 3 friends have too. We recommended this camp in the spring to 3 other families. Not knowing if the other kids would like it or not, we still felt that the likelihood would be that they would love it. We were right. All 3 kids stayed that it had been the best camp that they've ever attended. The counsellors that they hire typically return multiple summers in a row and most of them have graduated high school and are university students. Mick and Coby are both currently in university and Maya who ran the tennis camp at Britannia was a full fledge graduated from teachers college. This fact has always made me feel good about sending my kids to this camp. For multiple years in a row, I have or had continued to see their friendly faces every year, giving me that sense of security to know that my kids were going to be and are currently being looked after. With regard to their tennis camp, that was the foundation that gave my son the opportunity to advance in his tennis game. He went onto making the regional team at the RSC and it was all thanks to the wonderful introduction and basic skills and game play that he got from the NTS!! There camps are great...go check it out for yourself and I can certainly guarantee you that your kids will thank you! ... Show More

    National Kids Camps Review

I could not say enough positive things about this camp, the camp instructors and the President Geoff Pearce. We have been sending our son who is 11 for the past few summers. His favorite camp is the mountain bike camp, close second is the wilderness camp. He comes home every day so happy and full of stories to tell. The camp instructors are such great role models, my son really looks up to them. If you are looking for a camp that highlights the best part of childhood, playing outdoors, use of imagination, team work ect then I would highly recommend the national kids camp ... Show More
