LAURUS CIT PROGRAM (ages 15+)
3-week rotations:3-week rotations:
The CIT will be assigned to a supervisor (a section head) that they will be reporting to. Throughout the first week they will work with kids of all ages, then during week two and three they can specialize with the age group they like to work with most.
They will be responsible for creating and leading activities (they are never alone), but they are required to run activities on their own throughout with guidance from their supervisor.
At the end of each week, the assigned supervisor will give feedback, including their strongest and weakest points and what to work on the following week. This is also a place to follow up with the CIT to see how they are adjusting, what their experience has been so far and how they feel about moving forward.
At the end of the three-week period, the managers and section heads give a full evaluation that includes, how they did, how they responded to feedback, things to work on, their strongest points, etc. At the end all parties will sign the evaluation and the CIT will get a certificate.
This program will also be able to give the CIT community service hours and to engage them in the workforce to prepare them accordingly. There is also chance of future employment if a candidate has gone through the CIT program.Request information
