This travel learning adventure is a blended academic Grade 11 Biology credit course that combines learning online with the opportunity to explore and compare the diversity of the marine environment of the Bay of Fundy (St. Andrews, NB), with the freshwater ecosystem of Lake Katchewanooka (Lakefield, Ontario). This program includes a stay on our LCS campus and at the Huntsman Marine Science Centre, which is a world-class research and education facility with access to marine experts, dedicated instructional labs/wetlabs, Fundy Discovery Aquarium, a research vessel, several classrooms, and a dormitory. At the start and end of the course, there is a portion of time dedicated to learning foundational and theoretical knowledge online. The focus of this course is on refining skills related to investigation through fieldwork, observation, and inquiry while we explore biological systems and diversity of life, evolution, genetics, and animal and plant life.

Includes accommodations, learning materials, and a one-way flight to New Brunswick. Return travel options available during registration. Prerequisite: Grade 10 Academic Science (SNC2D)
