(5) Overall experience
The school had excellent and kind teachers, counselors, and coaches! My kids had lots of fun and they asked to join again next year. Thank you very much, J Addison team!
At the camp, my kids formed valuable friendships and got exposed to a few sports that they never tried before.
The science projects were interactive and engaging.
They did an egg drop experiment, made a volcano, constructed a chair out of cardboard, and built a marble run.
The field trips were included, and my kids enjoyed them thoroughly.
(5) Reason for choosing the camp
We chose the camp due to location, programs, facility, price, and reviews.
The camp offered extended care and a meal plan, which worked very well with our busy schedules.
My daughter loved the chicken nuggets that came with the meal plan.
The indoor gym is very nice, and they have an outdoor playground.
(5) Program quality and activities
The science activities offered were at the right age.
My kids were engaged and talked a lot about their projects after arriving home.
They had arts and crafts, which my son loved a lot.
The sports activities were diverse and included basketball, floor hockey, volleyball, baseball, badminton, soccer, frisbee, team handball, and flag football.
All the coaches and teachers were attentive and kind to guide my kids through the activities.
(5) Social dynamics and experience
My kids made many friends during the 4-week camp at J Addison.
There were group projects, team games, and partnerships at sports class.
All kids are engaged and had a great experience.
There was no bullying at the camp.
All the kids got along well, and the camp counselors were always on top of things.
My kids felt included at the camp.
(5) Skills and growth
My kids gained sports and science skills from the camp activities at J Addison.
The activities were either within or slightly beyond their comfort zone, but everything was reasonably manageable.
They had lots of fun testing out their science projects of egg drop and volcano.
Some science projects failed the tests, but my kids still enjoyed the learning process without any complaints.
(5) Staff/Instructors/Counsellors
Ms Georgia, Ms Michelle, and Mr Amr were all really kind and devoted educators.
As a parent, I can feel they put their heart into making the summer camp a great and unforgettable experience for our kids.
We interacted with Ms Michelle at pick up regularly and all emails were always replied to promptly.
We had zero issues with support and communication.
We are really appreciative of the J Addison team, and they took many beautiful photos and videos of our kids.
(5) Advice and tips
I highly recommend J Addison summer camp for any elementary school-aged kid.
It is reasonably priced, well organized, convenient location, has state-of-the-art facilities, and has amazing, devoted camp counselors.
All communications were clear and provided at the right time.
The only thing is that they don’t offer a meal plan to kids with food allergies.
If they can improve on that, then they are worth 105% (already at 100% now).
