    Our Snow School camps offer ski and snowboard programs for children and teens of all abilities, from first-timers to experienced young riders. With professional instructors and age-appropriate lessons, we help kids build skills, grow confidence and develop a love for the mountains. From half-day lessons to multi-week programs, every experience is an opportunity to make friends, embrace new challenges and discover the excitement of winter!

    At Grouse Mountain, the adventure goes beyond learning to ski or snowboard. Our stunning mountain setting offers a unique outdoor experience where kids and teens build confidence, challenge themselves and connect with nature. With professional instructors and programs for different ages and abilities, every young rider can progress at their own pace in a supportive environment. From first turns to tackling new terrain, participants develop skills, independence and resilience while making friends and unforgettable winter memories. We're proud to inspire the next generation to discover a lifelong love for the mountains!

    The Our Kids review of Grouse Mountain

    our take

    Grouse Mountain offers kids from Vancouver and area firsthand adventure in nature. It’s outdoor immersion in a day camp where kids learn basic survival skills and study bears and owls up close, but there’s also lighter camp fare like Jeopardy and art activities. Staff absolutely love nature and the outdoors, many of them skilled at climbing and skiing; they pass this on to campers. The real star of the show is Grouse Moutain itself, overlooking Vancouver westward and Mt. Baker to the south. Kids experience the mountain wilderness on their own terms, coming away from the camp experience with memories and reflections they’ll carry long into the future.

    Staff and Counsellors

    Our Snow School team is made up of passionate, experienced outdoor leaders dedicated to creating safe, supportive and fun winter experiences for every young skier and snowboarder. Our instructors focus on skill development, safety and progression, helping kids and teens build confidence and improve at their own pace. Through personalized guidance and positive coaching, we encourage young riders to try new challenges, develop independence and resilience, and celebrate their achievements. United by a shared love for the mountains, our team strives to make every day on the snow memorable while inspiring the next generation to embrace winter adventures!

    Is Grouse Mountain technology free? We encourage all campers to be present in their environment, allowing them to develop their passion for the outdoors and make new friendships. To help foster this, we ask that campers do not use mobile devices whilst at camp, and that the only technology present is a camera.

    Explore the wonders of nature at Grouse Mountain! Students have the opportunity to learn about local wildlife and ecology, discover First Nations culture and traditions, and explore the stunning mountain environment with our experienced education guides.
