This year’s Spring Break Camp will feature a wide array of Tech, Engineering and Arts activities. Learners will explore various themes and learn new skills through individual and group workshops.

Each day centers on a different theme, but we take a multidisciplinary approach and structure the day to provide a sense of progression. For example, in Video Game Design, learners can express their creativity by designing characters and maps, while also learning technical skills such as adding text, events, and other elements to make their game functional.

Activity Schedule:

Monday Mar 2: Engineering, Towers & Trebuchets
Tuesday Mar 3: Coding & Electronics
Wednesday Mar 4: Working with AI
Thursday Mar 5: Digital Music & Pixel Art
Friday Mar 5: Video Game Design

Registration is open to learners aged 6 to 15, with age-based groups to ensure activities are tailored to each level.

Morning Drop-Off is 8:30-9:00 AM, at the Learning Lab (6591 Somerled).

There is a mid-morning break for snacks and physical activity. After lunch, we visit a nearby park for fun and exercise before returning to the Learning Lab.

Afternoon Pickup is 3:30-4:00 PM and Extended Care is offered until 6:00 PM for an extra fee (60$ for the week).

Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Creativity: Activities at Explorations are focused on creation, giving campers opportunities to learn through making. These activities challenge campers to figure things out for themselves and discover their own solutions. Campers are given great freedom in all projects to find their own path.
  • Interpersonal skills: Working with others in small groups, campers develop their interpersonal skills. With caring counselors and professional activity leaders, campers are given appropriate social guidance. Activities involving performance arts particularly help develop confidence and cooperation skills.
