Kelly is an amazing career coach for students. My son met with Kelly to discuss which academic courses he should take in high school to support his career path. They also explored his passions, skills, and strengths to determine which career paths would be more suitable for him. He now has clarity and direction.
Kelly has an incredible ability to connect with young people and has a lot of knowledge of post-secondary pathways. It was great for my son to have an opportunity to meet with somebody who was not his parent to explore these options. We are grateful for Kelly’s support.
(5) Reason for choosing the program
I like the fact that Kelly is a former principal and guidance counsellor at the high school level. She truly knows all the correct information that students and families need to know.
This experience was well worth the price. My son now has clarity and direction, which is essential at this point in his high school experience.
There were no hidden fees.
(5) Program quality and activities
Kelly was able to cater the session around our son’s requests as well as what we had asked for. They worked through an interest/ passions survey.
He came out of the session, knowing exactly which courses he wanted to take and which career/post-secondary path he was on.
Kelly also followed up with a summary of what took place during the session, including which courses he would choose for the following school year. She also highlighted all the post-secondary institutional programs that he should explore.

This was a one-on-one session, so there was no opportunity for social interaction with other students.
(5) Skills and growth
Meeting with Kelly did push our son out of his comfort zone, as he is very reluctant to grow up and think about his future. He is neurodivergent and very nervous about his transition to adulthood. Being like Kelly helped put his fears at ease and focus on what is most important. Without Kelly's side, I don’t know that he would have a priority that he needs to pursue his post-secondary schooling.
(5) Staff/Instructors/Counsellors
Kelly was very flexible in the day and time in came out with my son. He really was drawn to her and respected her advice. There were no conflicts at all, so this was not a concern.
Kelly provided a very detailed summary of their session and asked my son to explore various post-secondary institutions and the programs they offer.
(5) Advice and tips
I highly recommend that any high schooler meet with Kelly and have private sessions on post-secondary and career options. Your child will receive a thorough dive into post-secondary options and career exploration. In my opinion, every child needs this. They have to make very important decisions at a young age and many students need the support of a knowledgeable educator/guidance counsellor to make these important decisions.
