    • A number of the summer camps in Connecticut focus on kids with special needs. Children with learning disabilities such as a ADHD benefit from time at summer camp where they can continue to focus on learning throughout the summer; simultaneously, they benefit from the company of other children who are learning disabled.

    These camps tend to be overnight camps and they may even be put on by a boarding school or private school. There is a great advantage to a summer camp at a private school, of course, for parents who have an interest in private education: it gives them a glimpse of the benefits that might be gained by sending their child to a private school focused on helping learning disabled children.
