In Scratch Coding Camp, Dino Adventures, young creators travel back in time to a prehistoric world where dinosaurs stomp, roar, and interact through code. This camp introduces children to foundational coding concepts using Scratch, a visual programming platform designed for creative exploration and learning.

Campers design interactive dinosaur-themed animations and games and build a fun take-home Dino gadget while learning how to use sequences, events, loops, and simple logic. Each project is framed as a creative challenge, bringing a dinosaur to life, building a scene, or designing a mini-game, so learning feels playful and purposeful.

Each session follows a gentle design cycle: imagine a story, build and animate characters, test ideas, make improvements, and proudly share creations. Along the way, students strengthen problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and confidence as independent digital creators.

By the end of the camp, children will have:

  • Created original Scratch games and animations
  • Learned core early coding concepts
  • Built confidence using technology to tell stories and solve problems

This camp is perfect for kids who love dinosaurs, storytelling, and creating interactive worlds through play-based STEM learning.

Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Resilience: Coding builds real problem-solvers. Kids face challenges, make mistakes, and try again. At Code-it Hacks Kids, projects help campers stick with tough problems, test new ideas, and celebrate progress, building confidence, perseverance, and resilience.
  • Creativity: Creativity comes alive through hands-on, inquiry-based play. Code-it Hacks Kids' Campers don’t just use technology, they invent, design, and solve fun, real-world challenges through games, crafts, and tech builds that spark imagination and bring bold ideas to life.
