In Maker Robotics – Forky Junk Robot, young inventors become hands-on creators, turning everyday and recycled materials into one-of-a-kind robots powered by simple code and electronics. This beginner-friendly robotics camp introduces children to circuits, movement, and block-based coding in a playful and exploratory setting.
Campers begin by discovering what makes a robot a robot, learning how micro:bit computers, lights, motors, and simple sensors work together. As they explore the engineering design process, children ideate, build, test, and refine their unique robots, connecting on-screen code with real-world motion and reactions.
Each day follows a creative build cycle: students learn a concept, try it out, solve problems, improve their designs, and see immediate results as robots blink lights, move, or respond to inputs. Along the way, campers build confidence in problem-solving, persistence, and collaboration as they explore how technology can be both fun and meaningful.
By the end of the program, children will have:
Maker Robotics – Forky Junk Robot is ideal for curious young engineers who love to create, experiment, and see their ideas come to life through active building and interactive code.
