(5) Overall experience

Camp is such a fun and inviting place. You get to grow in community with other Christians. You not only gain great friends, but you also gain mentors (your cabin leaders). It is an experience that takes you out of everyday life and away from distractions so that you can really dive deep into your faith. Camp Crossroads is a place of both growing but also having fun!! The food is good and kid-friendly!!

(5) Program quality and activities

You get to try a bunch of new activities like their low ropes course, bouldering room, and the blob tower. I have enjoyed all the activities I've done there, but my favourites were definitely swimming, sports, paddle kayaking, wake-ski, and outdoor adventure. There are always so many options for things that you can do in free time. The post-chapel questions (Let's Talk time) always push me and help stretch my understanding and learning. I always look forward to chapels, tuck, and the square dance that they have during the Youth Week.

(5) Social dynamics and experience

You, almost instantly, are friends with everyone. There are always so many kids that you can become friends with, but it's not too big so that it is still a close, intimate environment to be close with everyone. You also get to have your own cabin of 8 campers and 2 leaders whom you eat with, do Let's Talk time with, and lots of other activities! I've definitely bonded with my cabinmates and other campers at chapel sessions.

(5) Staff/Instructors/Counsellors

The staff are so loving and kind, and they pour their whole heart into caring for their campers. They are very easy to approach with any questions or concerns that you have; they are there to support you and always ensure that you, as a camper, know that. There have been so many staff that have had an impact on my life in lots of different ways, and I'm so thankful for all of them.

(5) Advice and tips

Always put yourself out there to talk to everyone and participate in all of the activities so that you can make those connections with the other campers. Also, pay very good attention to chapel sessions and take in the worship sessions because it is such a cool experience that you won't experience anywhere else. An insider tip is to take the bus, it is so much fun with your friends!!
