In the morning, campers review key math concepts such as Pythagorean Theorem, geometry, and number sense. Afterwards, teachers run a lesson on coding where students learn to use programs such as Scratch to program games and other codes. In the afternoon, we have a mix of drone lessons where students learn how to fly drones, how to create and navigate obstacle courses, as well as use the camera feature on drones to film their flights! These drone classes provide students with a hands-on learning experience inside the classroom and outside the classroom in nature. We offer pre camp care from 8:00am and a post camp care until 4:30 pm, and a hot lunch, each for an additional fee.
Character Development: This program helps build the following traits
Resilience: Students will learn resilience as they are pushed academically with STEM problem-solving situations. Students will learn how to solve them with hands-on solutions and gain confidence in their STEM knowledge to then apply in their future education.
Curiosity: Students will be pushed to ask the question “Why?” during our labs. This curiosity for the “why” is what will accelerate their learning and success in our STEM camps as we continue to dive into STEM-based learning.
