Longer sailing experiences (5–14 days) aboard our tall ship S.V. Fair Jeanne.  No prior experience is needed—our programs are open to all! Every trainee learns and grows through hands-on experiences that combine sailing, teamwork, leadership, and outdoor adventure.
Life Onboard

Life aboard Fair Jeanne is a unique mix of adventure, teamwork, and independence.

• Participant-led voyages – the crew helps decide daily activities, destinations, and routines
• Hands-on sailing – raise and douse sails, steer the ship, climb aloft (optional), and learn navigation
• Skill-building classes – navigation, ropework, weather, marine systems, and seamanship
• Daily routines – stand watches, help in the galley, and learn the rhythm of shipboard life

Earn a High School Credit in Leadership & Peer Support (GPP3O) on our 14 day Voyages.

• 🧭 Take charge as Leader of the Day, guiding your peers through tasks, teamwork, and navigation.
• 🔧 Build hands-on engineering, sail handling, and galley experience as part of daily ship life.
• 🌍 Represent BBI during deck tours and community events—earn volunteer and community service hours.
• 🏅 Eligible for Duke of Edinburgh Bronze/Silver & Gold Adventurous Journey.
