110 Moody Street, Port Moody, British Columbia, V3H2B2
In this 7-week intensive, students will have the opportunity to work both on the stage and on the screen! Every day will start with improvisational theatre games and finish with collaborating on a short film from concept to creation. Throughout it all they will learn character development, set lingo, acting skills, working as a team, and just what to do when the director yells "Action!". At the end of the 7-weeks, students will have a screening of their original short films starring them.
Character Development: This program helps build the following traits
Resilience: Teachers who are currently working in the industry will help prepare the students for setbacks and adversity, and will help them learn how to keep an even keel through it all. Students will learn how to maintain an optimistic, proactive orientation when under duress.
Courage: Auditioning, acting for film and standing on a stage all takes an incredible amount of courage. Students will build on the confidence they already have, and be supported to expand their social confidence and tolerance for uncertainty
