For over 14 years, Blank Canvases has been inspiring creativity through arts education across the GTA. Located on OCAD University’s campus, our day camp offers young artists the opportunity to create in real studios, explore local galleries, and experience Toronto’s creative landscape firsthand. With small group sizes, campers receive individualized support tailored to their needs and creative goals. Our program emphasizes student-led learning and a process-driven approach. We encourage experimentation, creative thinking, and problem-solving as key tools in each camper’s artistic development.

Our professional artists have arts education experience, emphasizing studio-based practices and learning. This includes building portfolio skills, independent and creative thinking, and confidence in their ideas. We are committed to sustainability, teaching campers responsible art-making through working with up-cycled and reclaimed materials sourced locally. Above all, we value and foster each camper’s unique voice.

Registration is open! We have limited spots, so early registration is encouraged. Registration is easy and requires brief information about your child's creative interests and goals. To register, visit our camp page here: https://www.blankcanvases.org/youth-summer-art-camp Registering means you agree to the following terms regarding cancellation: - Cancellations made 21 or more days before the start of camp will receive a full refund, minus a $50 administrative fee. - Cancellations made 14–20 days before the start of camp will receive a 50% refund. - Cancellations made less than 14 days before the start of camp are non-refundable.

We work with professional Toronto artists and experienced art educators to teach our art programs. Our staff members have strong backgrounds working with youth in Toronto. Our team is supportive, attentive, and committed to nurturing each camper’s individual needs and creative voice. Our low camper-to-instructor ratio allows for meaningful one-on-one guidance. As practicing artists ourselves, we understand the value of high-quality art instruction that balances technical skill-building with personal expression. We create a welcoming environment where campers feel safe to take creative risks. We encourage youth to explore identity, materials, and enjoy the process of art-making, where we value curiosity and growth over perfection.
