Leader 2: Instructor in Training - Building Leaders Through Experience

Ready to take the next step? Our one-week Instructor in Training (IIT) camp is designed for teens aged 14–16 who want to strengthen their leadership skills and gain practical experience in a camp setting.

Throughout the week, participants will dive into interactive workshops that focus on essential soft skills for working with children and leading groups. They’ll learn how to read body language, hold attention, and lead engaging activities—skills that translate to school presentations, public speaking, and everyday interactions. Through role-playing, group challenges, and guided reflection, teens will build confidence, find their leader’s voice, and learn how to connect with others in meaningful ways.

This program is ideal for youth ready to take on more responsibility and explore what it means to be a positive role model.

Prerequisite: Completion of Leader 1 (Leader in Training) or current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification.

By the end of the week, participants will leave with a strong foundation in communication, teamwork, and leadership—skills that prepare them for success in volunteer roles, employment, and beyond.
