Against popular belief, creating a game is very easy, and the concept used on simple games is just improved/expanded on more complex games. This camp aims to give children the basic skills to create games, make them appealing and challenging, and teach them much-needed basic concepts to become successful game creators. Camp objectives include explaining the basics of game creation while allowing children to create at least one game per day. Coding concepts such as loops, conditional statements, variables, and user input will be explained. The technology used may include Scratch and MakeyMakey.


Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Creativity: Campers will be given the opportunity to dig into the deepest reaches of their imaginations to bring ideas to life.
  • Independence: Creating your own game increases confidence while having fun. Design thinking gives campers a full sense of the product they are developing on their own.
