Let the magic, intensity and saturated hues of oil pastels make your artwork pop off the page! Participants will learn how to mix, blend, scratch, overlap and more to create beautiful artworks in still life – realistic or abstract. Bring your own image for inspiration and let your child and your own inner child come out to play with this amazing medium. All materials included.


Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Creativity: As an arts organization, NPCC provides a space where creative curiosity is encouraged and participants get to experience the benefits of trying new ideas and techniques in the artwork they create.
  • Interpersonal skills: Through shared creative experiences, students learn to express their ideas, listen to others, and provide constructive feedback. Collaborative projects promote teamwork, encouraging students to work together and have fun!
