Contrary to popular belief the French Horn is actually not French! The French may be responsible for introducing the horn to an orchestra but it was the Germans who modernized the instrument with pistons and valves. For this reason, the International Horn Society attempted to rename the instrument to 'horn' in 1971 but the name French Horn still remains today. Neighbour Note offers fun and affordable French Horn lessons in the comfort of your Toronto home or at one of our teacher's studios. Online lessons are also available.
