Bukaopu is a series of concert salons and music events endorsed by a collective of artists from around the globe. Designed for children 10 and above, Bukaopu Summer Magic Training is a weeklong course comprised of magic history, sleight of hand and showmanship classes, training young wizards in the basics of the conjuring arts. Campers are expected to be able to perform a personalized magic act by the end of the week.

About Bukaopu and Its Magicians

Magician: Kemin Zhang - founder of Bukaopu

Kemin studied magic from Canadian magician Jim Johnstone. At the age of 17, he began performing magic professionally at Toronto’s Granite Club. He made his contributions to Mainland China TV shows such as “Magic Training Camp”(CCTV), “I Love Full House”(CCTV), “Magic Heroes” (Hunan Satellite TV), “Amazing Magicians” (Jiangsu Satellite TV), etc.

Magician: Magic Man – Andrew Eland

One of the most experienced and well-travelled magicians in the country and is well known for his versatility in the illusion field. From the Rolling Stones to U2, Magic Man has entertained the finest!

Magician: The Balloon Maestro - Sean Rooney

Innovative balloon artist/performer Sean Rooney has plied his art in over 30 countries. He has been on a creative flight of fancy, hovering just under the radar of cultural influencers. Sean recently developed and mastered musical instruments made from balloons!



Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Creativity: Interest and pleasure in exploring creative potential. Tendency to see novel solutions to problems.
  • Resilience: Ability to handle setbacks and adversity—to maintain an optimistic, proactive orientation when under duress. Willingness to take on challenges.
