My name is Ethan, I am in grade 4 . Every week at E2 young engineers we build a new model and learn the science behind it. During the first session we build a race car, this one was easy to build. During the second session things started to get tough, we had to build a motorcycle. After some thinking I could figure it out. We are currently in the fourth session. Last week we built a robot which was my favorite model so far
It took me three (3 ) days to build it.
I had to start over and over before I could figure out how to make it walk. It is so complex to build!
Sometime I would put the head upside down, sometime I would forget the arms!
I had to pay attention to have everything placed in perfect symmetry (what does that mean symmetry?)
For my robot to work I had to make a 90 degree angle using a snail gear as my drive (what is this?) to convey power to two crown gears as my driven (oh my God! all this to learn!).
All this allows me to better understand the notion of physics I am learning in school.
