By participating in workshops on conflict resolution, leadership and communication, facilitated by our Outdoor Educators, youth will become confident in their abilities as a leader. During an overnight stay at YMCA Cedar Glen, youth will put their trust and communication skills to the test, working a as a team to prepare dinner, breakfast and lunch, as well as set up their camp site for the evening. Upon successful completion of this program, youth may apply for a volunteer placement at a YMCA Day Camp to earn community service hours for school.Youth will begin to learn and develop the skills required to become a leader. By participating in team building and trust activities, youth will see the value of working with their peers as a team, develop their communication skills and gain confidence in their ability to be a leader.
