Character Development:

  • Responsibility: Through cooking, children learn new skills in the kitchen that enable them to help the family with meal planning, preparation, and clean-up. Spend time together in the kitchen and assign kid-friendly tasks, then kids feel responsible and important part of the family dynamic and meal preparation.
  • Creativity: Kids can express their creativity through recipe development and food presentation. They can get creative with their family when selecting recipes and ingredients. This could be something as simple as deciding what ingredients to add into a salad, or decorating a cupcake.
