Frank Marando, CPGA Head Golf Professional
The Markland Wood Golf Club features one of the most walkable, yet challenging designs you'll find anywhere.
Visitors are pleasantly surprised to discover the quality, beauty and tranquility found hiding in the valleys bordering the Etobicoke Creek, a short drive from downtown Toronto. The course is a joy to walk - similar to most traditional courses, each green leads to the next tee on almost every hole.
Running north and south of Bloor Street, the layout features greens that are slightly elevated and fast, well guarded and moderately sloped. Generous landing areas are balanced with holes that place a premium on accuracy.
Our 18 hole, parkland links are complemented by a full-service practice facility to hone your long and short game, indoor practice nets, full-service locker rooms, and a Professional Shop staffed by season CPGA Professionals.
New Tees In 2017
Opening this spring are several new tee decks that will challenge players to accurately place good drives in order to score on our well-protected greens. From the Black Tees, the course will measure over 6400 yards for the first time. We think that a lower handicap player will find that he/she has met their match!
