Course Description

The essence of speech is to face the public, to face all kinds of people with different backgrounds to deliver values, to get consensus with the audience, to make the audience change their attitude and inspire action. The Pre-Contest Public Speaking class will explore each student's potential speech strengths, encourage students to speak out in a highly interactive way, and reshape and enhance their confidence and personal charm in all aspects. 

At the same time, the course is designed for students to develop more thoughtful logic, deliver more insightful and in-depth speeches, and teach them how to have more persuasive and compelling interpretations. The course will also train students to be more open-minded and to think from a global perspective. The course will move beyond and avoid clichéd topics to allow students to deepen their connection to the world through observation, perception, and reflection, and to create statements with unique perspectives that can even shine at international events.
