Why does someone read a lot but have a low SSAT Verbal score? Why do some people memorize words but fail to apply them to their writing? The answer lies in the fact that students have not yet mastered the words accurately and deeply, but are still stuck at the level of "reading to identify vocabulary". The Vocabulary Apex course is based on SSAT/SAT academic vocabulary and will take students through 8 dimensions to understand the vocabulary and grasp its exact meaning and usage.

Grade Preference

Grade 7 - Grade 9


Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Independence: Memorizing words is a very difficult and tedious process, and although we focus on quality, it still requires students to learn a certain amount of vocabulary independently.
  • Self-regulation: There will be assignments at the end of the class for students to complete on time and on their own.
