Dive deep into the heart of Panama and gift your family an adventure that blends the thrill of jungle exploration, tranquil beach relaxation, and the magic of cultural immersion. From paddleboarding on serene lakes and surfing on pristine beaches to hiking invigorating volcanos and exploring enchanting waterfalls and an indigenous community, every day presents a new adventure. At Istmo we pride ourselves on offering families unique adventure opportunities that get participants out of their comfort zone and expose them to the tropical paradise that is Panama. Istmo Family Camp was created by the owner and lifelong learner/educator Sean Davis. His previous career was in education- a classroom teacher and later as a school Director. In 2015 Sean and his wife Ayesha started Istmo Yoga and Adventure Retreat Center which has been and continues to be a successful retreat center. Missing the educational environment, Sean decided to create Istmo Family Camps to merge these two passions. Sean and Ayesha have 2 children who have gladly been the test pilots for all our activities. With a maximum 8 families for each camp, Sean is the main facilitator and guide for all activities. The kitchen, cleaning, and maintenance staff have been with Istmo since the beginning and are proudly part of the Istmo family
