Musical Futures Summer Camp / Ages 6 to 10

The Musical Futures Summer Camp  provides campers with an innovative, immersive experience that exposes them to all aspects of music creation and performance in a collaborative, safe way, fostering personal growth and creativity. Targeting youth ages 7–14 the goal is to expose children to different genres of music, music history, music theory, hands on instrument labs, performance techniques, and ensemble groups. The end-product is a public concert and an award ceremony, which is a gratifying take away for the campers that promote self-developmental growth. The curriculum has been developed and will be delivered by talented musicians who are also skilled educators, creating a one-of-a-kind quality and empowering camp experience. At HMC we believe in the transformative power of music. Through their engagement with music, children become self-motivated lifelong learners, build self-confidence and become active members of their community.

Campers have to opportunity to choose from 4 'tracks':

 Rock Band Track / Tech Track / Orchestra Track / Vocal Track

Rock Band Track ( *Previous experience in voice, guitar, keys, or drums recommended)

• Play & perform your song(s)
• Develop songwriting technique
• Operate as an emerging Rock Band

Tech Track

• Partner with the other tracks to record, film, and perform
• Learn the basics about sound engineering, mixing, lighting, and videography

Orchestra Track * Previous experience recommended

• Perform and film your group song(s)
• Play group & individual songs
• Learn instrumental technique

Vocal Track 

• Develop confident stage presence
• Sing group & individual pop songs
• Learn vocal technique
