The Enrichment Studies Unit (ESU) at Queen's University in Kingston, ON connects students in Grades 5-12 with inspiring academics while enriching their potential. ESU offers a variety of courses including Pathology, Engineering, Web Development, and Medieval History! Students take unique academic courses/workshops, live in residence, and participate in engaging evening activities.

    Join us Sunday, August 09 from 09:00 am

    Students in grades eight through twelve, have the opportunity to learn beyond the school classroom with engaging and challenging courses that motivate them to explore and apply new knowledge. They return to school with renewed energy, an excitement for learning, and ideas for post-secondary and career planning.

    For students working towards the Duke of Edinburgh International Award Gold Medal, the residence-option satisfies the Gold Project requirement. To receive a Duke of Edinburgh award, students must complete personal goals in 4 to 5 different categories. Please refer to the Duke of Edinburgh – Ontario website for age requirements and other Award information.

  • August 10, 2020First day of Leadership Training Program
    Enrichment Studies Unit (ESU) at Queen's University, 195 University Ave, Kingston, Ontario
    Join us Monday, August 10 from 09:00 am

    The Leadership Training Program is an innovative program for students who strive to become effective leaders in academic, extracurricular, and business situations. With an overarching theme of personal growth, the Program helps students to develop strong communication skills, learn to cultivate strategic relationships, and to become successful team members and leaders.

    The Program is offered in three sessions, each with unique and complementary courses and activities designed to build and practice valuable knowledge and skills. Students may choose to attend any one of the three standalone* sessions, or attend all three sessions over three years to receive a Leadership Certificate from the Enrichment Studies Unit. All participants attend a leadership retreat to the Elbow Lake Environmental Education Centre to participate in exciting teambuilding and leadership activities in an outdoor setting. Other activities may include climbing, swimming, a corn maze adventure, challenging teambuilding exercises, and more.

    For students working towards the Duke of Edinburgh International Award Gold Medal, the L3 residence-option satisfies the Gold Project requirement. I invite you to experience Queen's University with the Enrichment Studies Unit. For over 30 years, the ESU has been hosting children and youth on our beautiful and historic campus in Kingston, Ontario.

Through their cutting edge research and innovative projects, our instructors deliver a unique and challenging academic experience for our campers. Our overnight stays are exciting and safe. Our dedicated team of Red Shirt counselors deliver outstanding support and leadership while our campers explore and experience everything Queen's University is known for around the world.

Join us in the academic year for an enrichment experience not found at any other institution in Canada or in the summer for an amazing academic summer camp.
