About this Camp

Eco Camp

Island Lake ECO Camp has been running the Ecology Day Camp program at Island Lake Conservation Area for the past 24 years. This unique nature camp gives campers knowledge of how the earth works by experiencing nature in unique ways. Activities are adapted to meet the needs of each age group.

Activities include canoeing, fishing, archery, mountain biking, mapping/orienteering, crafts, environmental studies and cookouts, just to name a few. New outdoor programs are continually introduced during the season, to keep campers interested and engaged.

We keep our program FUN!

The 2021 Experience at Eco Camp

Dear Eco Camp Families (and future Eco Campers),

We are currently in discussion with the CVCA (Credit Valley Conservation Authority) in regard to what our use of the site may look like this summer.

It is our intention to run as "normally" as possible within the guidelines of Public Health Unit and the Provincial Government as we head into the summer months.

Clearly, at this time there are many factors that remain unpredictable - therefore we have not opened up registration yet. We will send out a bulk email to all former camp families as soon as we have enough information in place to begin registration.

We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time,

Greg and Karen Sol (Moose and Storm)

Family Review
Wendy — Parent

Eco camp has become a very important and exciting summer ritual for our family. Our older son has attended ECO camp for many years and is now looking forward to becoming a “Counsellor In Training”. His 2 younger brothers were able to attend for their first time last year and have claimed ECO camp to be the best camp EVER!! Days at ECO camp are filled with fun and adventure. They come home smiling, tired, dirty and full of stories about all the fun and exciting things they have done. Moose and Storm do a great job orchestrating things and their teaching skills and experience definitely contribute to the success of this camp. Location is also a huge plus. Who wouldn’t want to spend their summer at Island Lake? The trails, the lake, the beach, the fishing, the trees…the perfect place to be on a summer day!

I highly recommend this summer camp!
Sharon — Parent

Our three children have been going to Eco Camp every year for the past 4 years and it’s one of the highlights of their Summer. They talk endlessly about the amazing counsellors, the fun camp games they play, the endless activity choices and the new friends they make. They come home dirty, tired and so happy! I love Eco camp because it’s a traditional summer camp and the organizers truly care about all the kids having a great experience! I highly recommend this summer camp!

The best place for my son!
Victoria — Parent

My son Charlie is quiet but he genuinely loves it. The staff are great and I am happy to drop him off when I know he’s going to have a great time. I can’t wait for my daughter to experience it too.

My daughter LOVES Eco camp!
Lindy — Parent

My daughter Ava loved, loved, LOVED EcoCamp last year, and has been asking non stop if she can please go again this year! And her little sister is coming along too 🙂 Here’s to another great summer for you all at EcoCamp! Thanks!!
