What do you do differently or uniquely well?

"Nestled in the Southern Ontario green belt is a summer place where the sun shines brightly, and nature is all around. Under the stars, marshmallows roast lightly. Around the campfire we share stories and songs, as laughter fills the air.
Camp Omagh is a place where strangers meet and become friends, and friends become brothers and sisters. As we read God's word, sing, and pray together in unity and in spirit, all our earthly cares simply disappear."

Who are your staff and counsellors?

"We employ mature, confident staff who love working with children, and are already leaders in their respective communities."

What do families need to know about registration?

"Registration opens in January/Februrary every year and is a snap. If you have any questions or concerns along the way, our Camp Omagh Registrar is ready to assist."

The Our Kids review of Camp Omagh

    our take

Camp Omagh is said to be a magical place. A Christ-focused camp with engaging and entertaining activities, plus time for reflection, Camp Omagh promises good times, good friends, and the good book. An old and storied camp, it began in the 1930s as a place for youth to gather and get to know God. They shared meals, held classes, played sports, listened to music, and played croquet. What’s unique about this camp is they are very proud of their inspiring leaders who serve as role models to the campers. They help facilitate friendships and ensure kids are good friends themselves. They also help foster creativity using their extensive outdoor facilities as an exploration ground. Kids are asked to unplug here, and get to better know themselves, each other, and God. This helps them relax and relieve the pressures of their day-to-day world, while also understanding what’s deep inside them.

Is Camp Omagh technology free? Like many traditional summer camps, Camp Omagh asks campers to “unplug” from technology so they can more easily “plug in” to their new camp community. By leaving technology at home, campers engage more quickly and are more poised to take advantage of the fun, friends and adventure offered by Camp Omagh. Campers develop friendships that are not dependent on social media and gaming. They grow to better understand the expressions and feelings of others. Campers remark that they notice more about their surroundings, are more creative and feel relieved of the constant pressure/stress they feel from Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter. Gadgets to be left at home include anything that requires charging or plugging in like cell phones, tablets, laptops, mp3 players, electronic games, etc.
