The Our Kids review of Big Bear Fencing

For kids who want to try something new this year, fencing is super fun and challenging. Big Bear Fencing has fencing classes and camps that are safe and exciting. What’s so great about fencing? Not only will kids love wielding swords and stabbing their peers (and learning how to do it properly), they’ll improve their confidence and discipline. Because it’s such an active physical activity, they’ll get stronger, and they’ll know it too. Fencing might look easy, but there is a lot of skill involved. All of the coaches are passionate about the sport and willing to pass on their love of fencing to all of their students. Director Mark Jones is well-respected in the fencing world and has won medals at championships across North America. His can-do attitude translates well with all of the kids at Big Bear. He never gives up and this kind of motivation only spurs the kids to do better and not to quit themselves. That’s saying something!
