Reviews & Testimonials

  • Theatre Camp
    Shelly Khushal — Parent

“Excellent theatre camp. My daughter loved it. The performance at the end was fantastic, the instructor was great!”

  • Summer Art Camp
    Janaki Kapoor — Parent

“My 10 year old son is not easy to please. We have tried many games, camps, and activities, but he gets bored at the end of the day. Thankfully, a friend recommended Aurora Cultural Centre to me. I was skeptical when I signed up thinking that he would be complaining about the same stomach aches and headaches to skip camp, but to my surprise, he was extremely happy and interested in this camp. It is an awesome feeling to actually hear him say ‘Mommy I am sad that tomorrow will be the last day.’ Also, the staff are awesome. They have great patience in dealing with children, and most importantly they treat all the children with unbiased enthusiasm.”

  • Summer Art Camp
    Kate Avery — Parent

"My family and I have been enjoying classes, camps, plays, and special events at the Aurora Cultural Centre for over seven years. Acrylic painting classes at the Centre have become a weekly commitment for me and I love it! Both of my daughters have attended the Summer Art Camp at the Centre since they were the age of four. They always enjoy the amazing art experiences and counsellors. Such a fabulous place!"

Leanne DiMonte, Education & Visitor Services Coordinator

At the Aurora Cultural Centre we believe in the power that arts and culture can play in changing our world and our community. This is the fabric that deepens our understanding of our shared experience and creates a more compassionate society.

Since 2010, the Centre has welcomed the community to create and participate in diverse experiences for all ages. Located in a beautifully-restored 1886 schoolhouse, we proudly program four vibrant gallery exhibition spaces, a range of instructional classes for children, teens and adults, an eclectic live music series, special family events, summer arts camps, and offer stunning rental spaces for a unique experience. Partnerships – with our community, businesses, schools and more – are at the heart of our operations and vital to our success.

Through our educational arts classes and camps we strive to allow our students to learn something new in a fun, welcoming, and encouraging environment. Our contracted instructors are professional, passionate, and well versed in their areas of expertise.

The Aurora Cultural Centre is a registered charity, generously funded in part by the Town of Aurora. We are proud to have earned the Imagine Canada Trustmark, demonstrating excellence in non-profit operations. Our professional staff is supported by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors and enthusiastic team of volunteers.

Wheelchair accessible, air-conditioned, and with parking surrounding the building, we look forward to welcoming you through our doors. We invite to you #BeEngaged, #BeInspired.
