About this camp

At ARTiculations, we are passionate about the power of creativity and its potential for personal transformation! We offer dynamic art programs for children & youth, specifically focusing on PA Days, March Break Camp and Summer Camp. Our programs are designed and delivered by professional artist instructors to engage ages 8-13+ and foster creativity in a supportive environment.

Established in 2011.

The Our Kids review of ARTiculations

ARTiculations was created to be a hub of the local arts community, being equal parts shop, school, studio, and gallery. That environment is part of the draw of the kids’ programs. It's frankly beautiful, inspiring in its own right, and includes many opportunities to meet local artists, to see their work, and to feel a part of the community itself. Programs make good use of indoor and outdoor spaces, and are designed to encourage a facility not just with the skills associated with making art, but also the purpose of making art. They help young people to grow into a greater appreciation of their talents, to use their voices, and to develop their creative and personal strengths. All instructors are professional artists, each providing a unique window onto the wider world of art and the place that it can have in a young person's life.

Reviews & Testimonials

  • Happy Camper & Happy Parent!
    Anisa Khan — Parent

My daughter Maliha Kollins has attended March Break Camps, Professional Development Day Camps, as well summer camps at Articulations for the past 7 years. Maliha has loved every minute of camp! She loved the variety of activities offered both in and out of doors, she was excited to meet artists in the community and loved that she could create things in a supportive and friendly environment. As a parent, I loved the structure and variety of innovative art experiences the children had. I also loved the fact that they visited and incorporated the local community in their programming, and most importantly that my child came home happy and full of positive stories everyday. As an educator I loved the fact that the children were learning new skills everyday and had the opportunity to implement these skills individually and with their peers with the direction and support of the amazing Articulations staff. It is clear the programming is well thought out and clearly structured to engage children of all age groups. I can't say enough about how wonderful Heather and her staff are at Articulations: they teach, they inspire and motivate youth to find their own creative strengths in art, personal confidence, and value in their community.

  • ARTiculations Summer Camp is the Highlight of the summer for my daughter
    Marilyn Latzel — Parent

The Articulations summer art camp program is the highlight of summer for my daughter. She enjoys every minute of camp and looks forward to participating. Heather is a wonderful instructor who nurtures the creative process while encouraging free expression. We register every summer without exception.

Director's Message

Heather Phillips, Creative Director & Owner

When we opened our doors in 2011, I had a clear vision for our arts programming; I wanted to create an environment where young artists who are passionate about making art can thrive.

Over the past 7 camp seasons, we have continued to present opportunities for our young artists to take risks, explore, and enjoy the process of making! We believe that this, more than the end result of a project, is a key ingredient to fostering a life long connection and passion for creating.

We hope to see you in the studio for 2019 Summer Camp!
