Meet your idols. Every session there are guest appearances by some of the NHLs best hockey players.
Wayne Cowley
Scarborough, Ontario native Wayne Cowley bounced around the minor pro leagues before he took to the Edmonton Oilers crease during the 1993-94 season. Cowley went from Colgate University to the International Hockey League where he spent parts of three seasons with the Salt Lake Golden Eagles, the minor league affiliate of the Calgary Flames, who had signed him to a free agent deal. This stint was followed by stops in the East Coast Hockey League, the American Hockey League and two tours of duty in Britain. In 1993 Cowley signed a free agent contract with the Edmonton Oilers, who gave him his NHL opportunity.
"Hockey teaches you a lot of things," said Cowley, who played an NHL game, in 1993-94, making 35 saves between the pipes for the Edmonton Oilers. "It teaches you how to deal with people and with situations."
