Letter from a 4th year camper
Hi! My name is Hye-Won Lee. I'm a fourth-year camper at Camp Tawingo, and I'm very excited for my fifth year.
I just wanted to say thank you, for all the wonderful experiences that I've had at Camp. I don't know what life would be like now if I hadn't decided to go to Camp in the year of 2002. In my room at home, I have my Turtle Crest on my bulletin board. I'm still wearing some of my braceletes from Camp...
I live in Seoul, South Korea. I visit Canada every summer vacation. Our family comes mainly to have some fun, but one of my main reasons is to go to Camp Tawingo.
Since I live in Korea my friends don't know much about what camp is like. I told them of how much fun it is...but they'll never know, unless they experience it for themselves.
Just what's so great about Camp for me? Well, everything! Camp is a home away from home for me. I made lots of friends over the years. It's a lot of fun to discover that we're neighbours again this year!
At camp I learned so much - and it's not just Minerals, and Knots. I learned to cope with friendship troubles, and other problems, while being away from home. At first it was hard being away from my parents, but soon I learned to enjoy - just enjoy being at camp - the most wonderful place int he world.
Thank you so much again. Camp is one place that I'll never forget. Ever! Next year I hope I can convince my little brother to come! Well then, I'll see everyone again next year!
From Hye-Won Lee,
Camp Tawingo's ever-faithful camper
