On its own lake in the heart of Algonquin Park, Arowhon nurtures and challenges children so they discover new parts of themselves: A 9 year old windsurfs across the lake - and back! A 12 year old learns to horseback ride and 15 year old who has never stuck with anything in the city is given the constant support she needs to practice for her sailing award every day for a month - and she gets it. Their self esteem grows. Our 2:1 camper:staff ratio allows us to give each camper individual loving attention. Campers choose their own activities daily; the only option not available is inactivity. Campers master the art of group living with expert support from experienced counsellors.
