How long are the camp sessions?

    Is this helpfull?
Session lengths vary, so you are sure to find something to suit. Day camps are typically one week long and many residential camps also offer one-week sessions. However, you'll also find lots of two-week sessions, and many overnight camps offer four-week and longer sessions; these give campers time to settle in and more fully enjoy the whole overnight experience.

The Day or Residential? How Long? section of this website has more information and advice on determining the type of camp and session length that is best for your child.

We know of a camp that has a 3 night camp for 5-7 year olds so they get a quick taste of camp before they commit to a week or more.

Shorter sessions offer a wonderful introduction to overnight camping for young children (they are also a little easier on parents who may be sending their little ones away for the first time). Another great way to Introduce young ones to camp are family camp sessions (either for a weekend or a week). Kids experience the wonder of summer camp while she having the security of mum and dad.
