Is there always someone supervising the campers? Even during the night at residential/overnight camps?

    Is this helpfull?
Yes. Camps take their responsibility for your child very, very seriously. Their programs, staffing, facilities and schedules are all planned to ensure a safe, supervised setting for all campers.

It's still worth specifically asking if your camper will be left alone at night. Some camps choose to leave the kids in their tents with no adults and have a roving night patrol.

I think this is one of the most important questions you can ever ask. Unsupervised kids, when they are bored, will get in to trouble. If you have an adult within seeing distance they can then vary the activity and head off any problems. It's these unsupervised times when there is opportunity for bullying. IMHO, campers should have staff in the same sleeping building as them at all times - not just a roving patrol.
