    Is this helpfull?
Whether you are an overseas parent or a new-to-Canada parent, you will find that summer camps are a welcoming place where your child quickly feels comfortable. Some camps have many international campers, who come to improve their English, so if one of the staff doesn't speak the same language as your child, it is quite likely that one of the other campers will.

Keep in mind that camp is not a school classroom where much of a child's understanding comes from hearing or reading camp is much more about participating through watching and doing in a relaxed, informal setting. You will likely find that your child's English will improve in this encouraging environment.

There are some camps that are purposeful in teaching languages. I know a girls camp in Quebec that has two days of English then two days of French.
